Colli Trevigiani IGT Wildbacher 2010 Tenuta Col Sandago
Description
The Wildbacher comes from the vineyards of Tenuta Col Sandago, in the municipality of Susegana, an area rich in tradition in the food and wine field.
Produced with 100% Wildbacher grapes, a typical Styrian-Austria grape, Col Sandago biotype, following the harvest and pressing, it is left to ferment on the skins for about 15-20 days, with daily pumping over. After the fermentation period it is placed for 20 months in oak barrels, half new and half first and second passage. At the end of the barrel period, a new phase of bottle aging begins, lasting about 12 months.
Characterized by an intense red color, it has enveloping aromas, with hints of berries, aromatic herbs and sweet spices. The taste is elegant and vigorous at the same time, well structured and tannic, with a good acidity in the finish, which gives a pleasant sensation of freshness.
Ideal to serve in combination with savory, braised meat dishes and game of feathers, it is excellent accompanied by aged cheeses.
