Description

The Chardonnay Iaia is produced by Marco Felluga in the hilly municipalities of Farra d'Isonzo, San Floriano, and Cormòns, within the Friuli designation. The Eocene-origin soils alternate between marl and sandstone, creating ideal conditions for a fine and elegant expression of the grape variety.

After manual harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and subjected to cold maceration. This is followed by a light pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for about six months on the lees and continues aging for several months in the bottle, giving it complexity and harmony.

In appearance, it has a straw-yellow color with golden reflections. The aromatic profile is rich with exotic fruit, especially pineapple, and white-fleshed fruits like apple and pear. On the palate, it stands out for its full structure and the balance between freshness and sapidity.

Perfectly matched with fish dishes, shellfish, or delicate white meats.
