Description

This red wine from Tenuta San Francesco is produced from a balanced blend of Aglianico, Tintore, and Piedirosso, grown in the Tramonti area of the Amalfi Coast, on steep terraced land between 300 and 600 meters above sea level. The vines, grown in traditional pergola and trellis systems, benefit from a cool climate with strong temperature variations, which helps to enhance the wine's elegance and aromatic complexity.

The harvest takes place at the end of October, followed by vinification in stainless steel to preserve the varietal characteristics of the grapes. The wine then ages for a period of 18 to 24 months in steel and oak barrels, followed by an additional 2-3 months in the bottle, ensuring balance and harmony.

Visually, it presents an intense ruby red color. The bouquet is elegant and refined, with hints of berries, violets, spices, and light notes of tobacco. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, easy to drink, with good structure and balanced persistence.

It pairs perfectly with first and second courses of land, red meats, and medium-aged cheeses, also proving ideal with fish dishes.
