Description

The Tuscan red wine Duemani is produced by the Duemani company, a company founded by Elena Celli and Luca D'Attoma, a renowned winemaker. The winery is located in Riparbella, in the south of the province of Pisa, and is Demeter biodynamic certified. Riparbella is located in the first hilly hinterland of the Tuscan coast of Cecina, in an area of wild and uncontaminated nature. The climate, characterized by considerable temperature ranges and clayey soils rich in calcareous skeleton, constitute an ideal habitat for international red grape varieties.

The wine is made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes, which are first destemmed. The fermentation of the grapes is spontaneous and takes place in truncated conical vats at a controlled temperature with a maceration on the skins of approx. 30 days. The wine then ages for 22 months in French oak barriques (80% new, 20% first passage) and is bottled without undergoing either clarification or filtration.

Intense ruby red in colour, the wine reveals fruity aromas of black cherries, licorice, spices and chocolate. The sip is warm, with silky tannins and a long persistence.

Excellent in combination with baked pasta, grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
