Description
What type of wine it is
Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé is a wine from the Côtes de Provence appellation, produced in the heart of the French Riviera. This rosé is born from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Vermentino, Tibouren, Cinsault, and Sémillon. The style is broad and structured, featuring a rounded flavor profile and a saline finish that highlights its mineral character. Part of the wine ages in barrels to achieve greater depth and complexity while maintaining remarkable expressive precision.
Where it comes from
The wine is crafted in the enchanting area of crystalline Provence, within the renowned Côtes de Provence appellation. The grapes are sourced from thirty-nine plots managed and vinified separately, an approach that preserves the subtle differences between parcels. The result in the glass faithfully reflects the Provencal terroir through a clear mineral sensation and a distinctive savory note. The entire estate follows a sustainable project that enhances the energy and authentic character of the land.
How it’s produced
Grenache, Syrah, Vermentino, Tibouren, Cinsault, and Sémillon grapes are carefully cultivated and sorted according to their original plot. The separate vinification of the parcels respects the identity of the terroir prior to creating the final blend. A portion of the wine ferments and matures in oak barrels for several months, using both new and first-use barrels to impart structure. The remaining part follows a stainless steel process designed to preserve aromatic finesse, thus integrating the contribution of the wood without sacrificing the typical Provencal sip.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it displays a pale pink color, indicative of a focus on elegance. The aroma profile offers defined aromatic complexity, where floral notes naturally intertwine with ripe peach, bitter almond, and fresh citrus nuances. On the palate, it is broad and enveloping, supported by a well-balanced roundness that gives density without ever weighing down the drinking experience. The long and saline finish ends the tasting in perfect harmony with the minerality of the area of origin.
What it pairs with
This rosé naturally complements herb-infused lamb chops, where the pronounced saline component cleanses the palate effectively. Its roundness makes it an excellent fit with Mediterranean cuisine and dishes with a delicately spiced profile. In keeping with local tradition, the wine enhances seafood recipes such as bouillabaisse, adding richness to iodized flavors with its mineral touch. It also pairs perfectly with a vegetable ratatouille, intertwining garden sweetness with fruity notes.
When to serve it
Château Galoupet Rosé is the perfect choice for convivial moments when you seek a glass that balances finesse and structure. Its expressive richness makes it ideal throughout meals, able to accompany complete menus from appetizers to light main courses. Thanks to the balance between roundness and aromatic precision, it harmoniously accompanies dinners based on iodized ingredients or vegetarian dishes. The mineral tension and lingering finish allow for continuous enjoyment, ensuring a gratifying and dynamic tasting experience.
