Description
Minuty 281 is a Provençal Rosé that, with the intense blue of the bottle neck, pays homage to Pantone 281, the color of the Mediterranean Sea after the mistral, which greatly influences the vineyards of Minuty. This Rosé is also inspired by the visionary and revolutionary ambition of Etienne Matton, father of Jean-Etienne and François, who in the 1970s created an exclusive Grenache clone, now fundamental for creating the blend of this wine. Born exclusively from estate-grown grapes, in the heart of the AOC Côtes de Provence, Château Minuty 281 is designed for moments of conviviality, high fashion, and haute cuisine.
The winemaking of Minuty 281 is based on the selection of plots from the three main soils of the vineyard, combining Grenache from a single clone with Syrah for a spicy and peppery aftertaste. The grapes are hand-picked to maintain the integrity of the fruit, a rare practice. The expertise, knowledge of the vineyard, and the delicate touch of Jean-Etienne and François Matton in the winemaking process up to bottling produce this extraordinary Rosé.
Minuty 281 presents a pale pink color and intense, joyful aromas. The initial bouquet delicately combines citrus, tropical fruits, and white currants, paving the way to an explosion of complex aromas, with white fruit, vineyard peach, salty notes, and hints of spices and white pepper. This symphony of scents merges into a dream-like sensation on the palate, enhanced by the wine's body and its intense grip.
Best served cool (10-12° C) rather than cold, Minuty 281 pairs beautifully with flavorful dishes, premium shellfish like roasted lobster, lobster in banana leaves, or cooked in a scallop risotto. It also goes well with spicy dishes such as Peking duck for its sweet and sour taste, beef curry for its aromatic spices, or grilled yakitori with its sweet sauce. Summer salads with lobster, avocado, and grapefruit segments.
