Côtes du Rhône AOC Arcane XVIII La Lune 2010 Xavier Vignon

Xavier Vignon's Côtes du Rhône Arcane XVIII La Lune is a unique expression of Southern Rhône Valley Syrah, sourced from almost century-old old vines. The grapes are harvested manually from plots located at altitudes between 175 and 400 meters, on soils with a high concentration of phosphorus.

Winemaking involves manual harvesting, with 85% of the grapes destemmed and 15% left whole. Maceration is long and without mechanical extraction. The refinement lasts 60 months in a truncated wooden barrel.

The wine has a deep and brilliant red color, with aromas of wild red fruits, liquorice, violet, iris flowers and olives. On the palate it is elegant and silky, with lively acidity, fine tannins and a long finish.

Ideal to pair with roasted red meats or mature cheeses.
