Description
What kind of wine is it
Franciacorta Brut Rosé by Ferghettina is produced in Lombardy from Pinot Noir grapes. Made using the Traditional Method, it stands out for its fresh yet well-structured profile, uniting vibrancy and creaminess. Vinification begins with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by a slow resting period that gives the wine a fine perlage and a long palate progression, a feature that makes it suitable for multiple food pairings.
Where does it come from
This Franciacorta comes to life from vineyards located on the hills of Adro, a land set in the heart of Franciacorta. The geographical area is known for offering favorable environmental conditions that ensure regular ripening of the grapes. The hilly nature of the terrain bestows the wine with striking elegance and solid structural balance. The soil’s unique characteristics are directly reflected in the aromatic finesse and taste tension that define the character of this Rosé.
How it is produced
The grapes are handpicked around mid-August. After careful pressing, only the free-run must is destined for alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, kept at a controlled temperature to preserve the primary aromas, while the fruit from each vineyard is kept separate. The following spring, the blend is created and bottled for the prise de mousse according to the rules of the Traditional Method. This is followed by a thirty-six-month lees aging, essential for building the wine’s complexity.
Tasting notes
In the glass it reveals an elegant onion skin color, enriched by a fine and particularly persistent perlage. The aromatic profile is refined and clean, dominated by clear notes of red fruits, especially blackberry hints and delicate nuances of raspberry. On the palate, it displays an excellent structure and a coherent progression, delivering an orderly sip well supported by its acidic component. The finish is long and offers a pleasant persistence that faithfully echoes the fruity aromas experienced on the nose.
Food pairings
This Traditional Method wine is an excellent companion at the beginning of a meal, served as an elegant aperitif. At the table, it pairs naturally with a wide variety of dishes and is ideal with appetizers and first courses rich in seafood flavors. Its structured texture makes it recommended for recipes based on shellfish and fish, balancing the consistency of the dishes without ever overpowering the original taste of the ingredients. The balance between creaminess and structure ensures a consistently spot-on pairing.
When to serve it
To be opened to enrich convivial moments, it fits perfectly both for refined service and for more relaxed occasions. Its versatility makes it the ideal choice when you desire a bottle that can naturally accompany a whole meal, preserving vibrancy and freshness throughout. Thanks to its prolonged lees aging, the wine shows great stability in the glass and offers a consistent and continuous tasting, ideal for those seeking a dynamic, measured and always satisfying sip.
