Description
What kind of wine it is
Franciacorta Brut Rosé by Monzio Compagnoni is crafted from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Classified as Franciacorta, it stands out for its fresh and elegant style, with a fine and well-defined texture. The winemaking process follows the Traditional Method to ensure a lively, smooth drinking experience that perfectly balances aromatic intensity with a solid structure.
Where it comes from
This label originates from the commune of Adro, located in the province of Brescia, within the renowned Franciacorta region. The Monzio Compagnoni winery, established by Marcello Monzio Compagnoni, carefully manages thirty hectares of vineyards. This specific geographical origin gives the wine an unmistakable aromatic precision, closely linking the product to an area historically renowned for exceptional sparkling wine production.
How it is produced
Franciacorta Brut Rosé is made predominantly from Pinot Noir, complemented by Chardonnay, using established techniques. The base wine then undergoes bottle refermentation according to the strict principles of the Traditional Method. Afterwards, it is aged on the lees for thirty to forty-eight months, a fundamental step in developing aromatic complexity and a refined mousse.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it displays a brilliant pink colour, traversed by fine and persistent bubbles. The nose opens with delicate floral aromas of rose and jasmine, enriched by notes of pomegranate and cherry, and finishes with elegant spicy hints of saffron and clove. On the palate, it offers a fresh and lively sip, well supported by integrated bubbles and a long, clean finish.
Food pairings
Thanks to its lively character and refined bubbles, this Brut Rosé is an ideal choice for accompanying an aperitif. At the table, it pairs naturally with fish dishes, enhancing the marine flavours of grilled preparations. Its structure also allows it to complement red meat, such as a beef steak, creating a pleasant and dynamic contrast of flavours.
When to serve it
It is perfectly suited to be enjoyed when you’re looking for a precise and immediate glass, capable of accompanying the entire meal. The extended lees ageing provides a solid foundation for attentive consumption, highlighting its finesse and long-lasting persistence. It is a recommended choice for convivial occasions, as it maintains its innate energy and consistently clean and linear profile.
