Description

What kind of wine is it?

Franciacorta Brut Satèn by Corte alle Stelle is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, following the principles of the Traditional Method. It displays a balanced and silky style, defined by lively freshness and an elegant profile. The extended lees aging contributes to aromatic finesse and gustatory cleanness, resulting in a harmonious, well-balanced experience. This Franciacorta stands out for its precise technical imprint and retains remarkable expressiveness from the cellar to the glass.

Where does it come from?

This label reflects a careful selection of grapes cultivated by the producer. The wine’s territorial identity is closely linked to the choice to harvest in mid-August, an essential time for preserving vivid freshness and obtaining healthy, crisp, and intact berries. The Satèn type underscores a rigorous, balance-oriented approach to production. Emphasizing the brand's celestial inspiration, the label is adorned with the depictions of the Leo, Cancer, and Gemini constellations.

How is it made?

Production begins with a manual harvest carried out at the height of summer to bring perfectly sound clusters into the winery. The best musts from Chardonnay are used to create the base wine destined for bottle refermentation, typical of the Traditional Method. After the prise de mousse, the wine matures with at least twenty-four months of lees aging. This meticulous technical step is crucial to achieving the final finesse and the characteristic smooth texture of the wine.

Tasting notes

Bright straw-yellow in appearance, it is crossed by a continuous and persistent stream of bubbles climbing effortlessly in the glass. The nose reveals clear hints of white fruit enhanced by delicate linden blossom notes, creating a tidy and inviting aromatic profile. On the palate, it embodies a pleasant silky texture, supported by lively freshness and a well-balanced intensity that fades into a long and precise finish.

Pairings

The structural delicacy and soft effervescence of this Franciacorta make it the perfect partner for fish-based dishes. The most natural and recommended pairing is with sushi, where the glass’s freshness and silkiness harmonize beautifully with rice and raw fish. Its excellent aromatic finesse and persistent flavor accompany the meal without ever overwhelming it, allowing every nuance and flavor to shine through.

When to serve it

It’s the ideal choice when you want to enjoy a Traditional Method sparkling wine with a balanced signature and the enveloping feel of Satèn. It’s particularly suited for meals that call for remarkable intensity of flavor combined with an elegant bouquet. Thanks to the extended maturity that shapes its character, this wine promises precise taste that can elevate a refined dinner, delivering a gratifying and vibrant sip.
