Description
Turranio di Bosco del Merlo is a pure Sauvignon Blanc from Friuli, the result of careful clonal selection and a parceled harvest divided into three phases. This approach allows us to capture the different nuances of the grape variety: freshness and minerality in the first harvest, structure in the second and aromatic complexity in the third. The union of these components gives rise to an elegant wine that is representative of the Friulian territory.
In the cellar, the three batches of grapes are vinified separately with slow fermentation at low temperatures. The wine then ages for five months in steel, in contact with the fine lees, a step that gives greater structure, elegance and a precise varietal expression.
It has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The aroma is intense and typical, with marked notes of melon, passion fruit, tomato leaf, grapefruit and rose. On the palate it is dry, decisive and persistent, with a balance that combines freshness and aroma, making it refined and immediately recognizable.
It pairs perfectly with wild herb risottos, shellfish, San Daniele raw ham or mountain cheeses.
