Description
The Aglianico Zì Filicella di Ciro Picariello originates from its own vineyards located in the areas of Montemarano and Montemiletto, in the province of Avellino. Here the vines have an average age of 70 and 20 respectively. The altitude is for both areas of 600 meters above sea level, as well as the terrain that is defined for both with a clayey component.
The harvest of the Aglianico grapes, which make up this wine in purity, takes place towards the beginning of the month of November. A vinification in steel follows, where the wine remains also for the 24 months of aging. A 4-month maturation in the bottle makes it ready for marketing.
At sight it is intense ruby red. Its scent outlines ripe fruity tones and red flowers, enlivened by a sensitive spice. In the mouth it is rightly tannic and fresh, predisposed to a long evolution. It has an excellent body and a good aromatic persistence.
Ideal to accompany a plum roast.
