Description
The Akashi Meïsei, which in Japanese means "celebrity", is the limited edition of the Blended Whisky. The White Oak distillery was founded in 1888 but has been producing whisky in a traditional way and in small quantities only since 1919. The actual distillation process began in 1984, the year in which the company built a new establishment.
It consists of grain whisky and single malt whisky aged in white American oak barrels for 3-4 years. With a light amber appearance, it opens with deep sensations of barley malt, oak, and vanilla, which linger on a floral background. On the palate, it is soft, round, and spicy, with hints of vanilla and oak recurring in the finish.
Serve neat.
