Description
The Luberon Légende de Bonpas from the Bonpas estate is a white wine made from Grenache Blanc, Ugni, Rolle, and Clairette grapes grown in the vineyards of the Luberon Regional Park, located at an average altitude of 300 meters. The name of the estate derives from "Bon passage," in reference to the safe crossing of the Durance River that once connected Rome to Avignon.
Some grapes are harvested at night to preserve their freshness. The grape varieties are vinified separately to maintain their typicality. Grenache Blanc and Rolle are aged on the lees to provide volume and buttery notes, while Clairette is fermented at very low temperatures with a slight oxygen input to preserve its natural aromas and acidity.
It presents with a clear and bright color. The bouquet is expressive, with scents of summer fruit like apricot and peach, accompanied by exotic notes of mango, citrus, and white flowers such as acacia and hawthorn. The attack is lively and fresh, with a harmonious and round sip, and the aromas linger pleasantly.
Ideal paired with oysters, grilled sea bass, or as an aperitif.
