Description

Ciarlone , as the name perfectly suggests, is a convivial and cheerful wine, made to bring joy to the table. It originates in the province of Grosseto, in Tuscany, from the vineyards of the Tenuta l'Impostino winery.

It consists of a blend divided into 60% Sangiovese and the remaining 40% including Merlot, Alicante and Petit Verdot. The 11-year-old vineyards are located at an altitude of 350 meters in the locality of Sughereta. After being carefully harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the cellar, where they are subjected to a second sorting. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in steel tanks. In the same material, the wine ages in the presence of its fine lees for about 12 months. A final maturation period of about 6 months follows, inside the bottle.

It is ruby red in the glass. Its scent is articulated on notes of fruit such as morello cherry and cherry, and floral notes of violet and iris. In the mouth it affirms a well-defined body, softened by a velvety tannic texture. Fresh and persistent, in the sip as well as in closing.

To be paired with a plate of pici with meat sauce.
