Description

The Morellino di Scansano of the Podere 414 company was born in the DOCG area of Morellino di Scansano, located in Tuscany.

It is produced 85% from Sangiovese grapes and 15% from grapes from other vines. The grapes are harvested manually in the period from mid-September to mid-October. Fermentation lasts about 15 - 20 days and takes place at a controlled temperature of 27 - 29° C, then the wine ages for 12 months in wooden barrels and tonneaux.

This Morellino di Scansano is characterized by an intense ruby red colour. The nose opens with an intense bouquet of ripe fruit, enriched with spicy notes and woody hints. On the palate it is decisive, round, broad, pleasantly clear-cut, elegant and flowing.

It is perfect to combine with risotto with mushrooms and aromatic roasts cooked in the oven, it is ideal to serve with recipes based on stewed game and rabbit.
