Description
The Morellino di Scansano Ribeo di Roccapesta was born in Maremma, in southern Tuscany. The first company vineyards were planted in the 70s, while the new cellar dates back to 2010.
It consists of Sangiovese and Alicante grapes. Vinification takes place in thermo-controlled steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for 18-20 days. The wine then ages in cement tanks for 12 months, followed by 6 months in the bottle.
Ruby red in color, the nose is expressed with aromas of red fruit, flowers and spices. The sip is juicy and fresh, balanced.
It goes well with pappardelle with hare and grilled red meats.
