Description

Il Nobile di Montepulciano Il Nocio di Boscarelli was born in the Il Nocio vineyard, located in the municipality of Cervognano, in the area always characterized by the existence of a large walnut tree.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested by hand during the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in oak vats at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C for 8-10 days, with short pumping over and manual punching down. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 18-24 months and for another 3-6 months in bottle before being released on the market.

The Nocio is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections. The nose opens with aromas of blueberries and plums, enriched with pleasant notes of violets and irises. On the palate it is elegant, fruity and slightly tannic. The wine has a persistent finish, with a pleasantly fruity aftertaste.

Perfect to accompany meat and mushroom ragout dishes, it is ideal in combination with game, roasts and stews.
