Description

The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano La Braccesca dei Marchesi Antinori was born in the estate of the same name, located at the foot of Cortona.

It is mainly produced with Prugnolo Gentile and Merlot grapes, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. After de-stemming and crushing, the wine remains in contact with the skins for about 15 days and, with the end of the alcoholic fermentation, it is placed in large oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and an aging period of 12 months. Once bottled, it is further refined for about 12 months.

La Braccesca is a ruby red wine. The nose reveals hints of red fruit and spices, with sweet notes of tobacco that blend on the palate with nuances of cherry and black currant. Great minerality and a well balanced tannic setting accompany the tasting, leaving room for a long and tasty finish.

Ideal in combination with savory first courses based on meat sauce, this wine is perfect to accompany red meats and roasts.
