Rioja DOCa 4 Varietales Blanco De Guarda 2016 Vivanco

The Colección Vivanco 4 Varietales Blanco de Guarda is a white wine from Rioja obtained from a blend of Garnacha Blanca, Maturana Blanca, Tempranillo Blanco and Viura, sourced from selected vineyards cultivated with sustainable methods. This wine was created to highlight the potential of the region's native white varieties, offering an original, complex expression capable of evolving over time.

The vinification involves manual harvesting and separate handling of the grapes, with fermentation partly in stainless steel and partly in French oak barrels. The wine undergoes lengthy ageing on fine lees, both in steel and in wood, followed by a further period in bottle—a process that helps develop structure, depth and aromatic complexity.

To the eye, it displays a brilliant color with greenish highlights. On the nose it reveals an intense, complex bouquet with mineral and petroleum notes, enriched by hints of candied fruit and developed nuances. On the palate it is long and enveloping, with a dense texture and marked savouriness that upholds its freshness and persistence.

It pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish, vegetables and preparations based on rice and cheese.
