Description
Rosso Conero Piancarda by Garofoli is produced from vineyards located on the hills near Mount Conero, in the province of Ancona.
It is made from 100% indigenous red grapes, fermented with skin contact for about 7-10 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in barrels for 12-15 months, then rests in the bottle for a further 6 months before being released.
The Piancarda is a wine with a bright ruby red color. The bouquet is complex, broad, intense, and very persistent, rich in ripe fruit aromas, with prominent notes of plum, morello cherry, and hints of jam. On the palate, it reveals an important yet pleasantly smooth structure, with pronounced but elegant tannins. Overall, it is a sapid, warm, and dry wine that can age up to 4 years.
Perfect to accompany roasted meats, it is recommended with game dishes and well-aged cheeses.
