Description
Château Montrose, 2ème Grand Cru Classé in the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855, was born in vineyards located in the heart of the AOC Saint-Estèphe, in the renowned wine-growing region of Bordeaux.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 18 months in partially new French oak barriques, before being bottled.
Château Montrose has a deep ruby red color, with purple reflections. The nose opens with elegant notes of fresh red fruit, blackcurrant buds and eucalyptus. On the palate it is full, powerful and velvety, with excellent freshness, with a long finish of brioche and liquorice.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats, this wine is ideal in combination with game and mature cheeses.
