Description

The 5 Years Old Wee Bestie of Ardbeg originates on the southern coast of the island of Islay. As a "wee Beastie", little animal, it is the youngest distillate of the distillery, as well as the one with the most predominant peaty notes.

The 5 Years Old Wee Bestie is a single malt Scotch whiskey with intense peaty scents, aged for at least 5 years in both ex-Oloroso sherry and ex-bourbon barrels. The whiskey is bottled without being cold filtered and without the addition of dyes.

Golden yellow in color, the nose is characterized by an intense peaty scent, with notes of cold ash and resin, in addition to sweeter aromas of vanilla and honey. The sip is rich, spicy and with a very long finish.

Ideal neat, it can be used to prepare whiskey-based cocktails.
