Description

The Pinot Noir from Abbazia di Novacella originates from vineyards in the Cornaiano district of the Appiano municipality, located on the sunny hills of Oltradige.

Vinification takes place in steel with skin maceration for 15 days. After completing malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 6 months in oak barrels.

Purple-red tending towards ruby in the glass, it offers aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and plum, enriched with notes of truffle and chocolate as it ages. Dry and full-bodied, the palate is pleasantly tannic and velvety.

Excellent with juniper-flavored roast rabbit or with soft cheeses such as fontina or taleggio.
