Description

What kind of wine is it

Aristos Riesling from Cantina Valle Isarco is a white wine that precisely expresses the elegance and varietal complexity of Riesling. This wine, part of the renowned Aristos line, stands out for a sharp aromatic profile and a remarkable structure, balanced by a pleasant freshness. The winemaking aims to enhance fruit purity and delivers a tasting experience marked by great refinement and typicity.

Where does it come from

The grapes are sourced from vineyards located in the Valle Isarco, particularly in the area of Chiusa, around the historic Sabiona monastery. This part of Alto Adige, considered a spiritual center of Tyrol, offers a unique alpine terroir with significant temperature swings. The specific soil and climate conditions favor the development of a distinct minerality and intense aromas, hallmark traits of wines from this area.

How is it produced

The process begins with manual harvesting of the bunches, carefully selected to ensure the highest quality. After gentle pressing of the grapes, fermentation takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. This is followed by a seven-month maturation period on the noble lees, an essential phase for enriching the wine's body and complexity without the use of wood.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows a greenish-yellow color that turns into a bright light yellow. On the nose, it offers an elegant bouquet with fruity hints of peach, apricot, and quince, complemented by delicate mineral notes. On the palate, it reveals a fresh and spicy character, supported by a solid structure that leads to a persistent and very clean aromatic finish.

Food pairings

This white pairs perfectly with delicate starters and light dishes, enhancing flavors without overpowering them. It is ideal with fish and seafood recipes and forms an excellent match with oysters. Thanks to its spicy and fresh notes, it also pairs successfully with Asian cuisine, creating an intriguing contrast of tastes.

When to serve

Aristos Riesling is the perfect choice to serve as a classy aperitif, thanks to its immediacy and pleasantness. It is also excellent for lunch and dinner with friends, especially when the menu features seafood dishes or exotic flavors. Its smooth drinkability and clear varietal identity make it a wine that elevates informal yet sophisticated occasions.
