Description

What kind of wine it is

Tenuta Ulisse Pecorino is a white wine made exclusively from Pecorino grapes cultivated in Abruzzo. The careful winemaking process aims to preserve the aromatic precision and the natural fragrance of the fruit. This wine displays a clean and straightforward profile, characterized by a distinct fruity expression and a clear mineral structure.

Where it comes from

This white wine originates in vineyards located in the province of Chieti, within the Abruzzo region. This specific geographic area provides the right conditions for the proper aromatic development of the grape clusters. In this context, the grape variety succeeds in expressing optimal freshness and good acidity, elements that result in a taut style with great smoothness.

How it is produced

The grapes are carefully selected and hand-harvested at the beginning of September. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled, inerted stainless steel tanks that maintain a strictly regulated temperature of 11°C. The wine then ages in the same containers to preserve its olfactory integrity and completes the process with three months in the bottle before being released onto the market.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows an intense straw yellow color, enhanced by light greenish reflections. On the nose, it opens with a clear bouquet of white fruits reminiscent of peach, accompanied by citrus notes and exotic fruits such as grapefruit and papaya. On the palate, it is pleasantly acidic, sustained by a savory streak that harmoniously accompanies the finish of each sip.

Food pairings

This white from Abruzzo pairs excellently with seafood risottos and baked fish preparations. Its structure also makes it ideal for pairing with shellfish and raw fish, as its fresh and balanced profile enhances marine flavors. It is a wine that brings out the best in dishes where the natural savoriness of the ingredients plays a central role.

When to serve it

It is a recommended choice for convivial occasions and dinners focused on seafood cuisine. After the required bottle aging, the wine is ready to be enjoyed in its freshest and most immediate expression. It is especially appreciated when the desire is for a lively drink with absolute clean taste.
