Description

The Toscana Rosso 50 & 50 was born from a historic collaboration between Avignonesi di Montepulciano and Capannelle di Gaiole in Chianti. This wine best expresses the velvety elegance of Merlot and the rustic charm of Sangiovese.

It is produced with Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 24 months and for another 12 months in bottle before being released on the market.

It is characterized by a dark ruby red color. The nose opens with a fresh and intense bouquet, with hints of red fruits, enriched with pleasant spicy and balsamic notes. On the palate it is structured and silky, with a fruity heart and a long persistence.

Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with roasts and aged cheeses.
