Description

What type of wine is it

Vermentino Prestige di Uggiano is a white wine from Tuscany, made exclusively from Vermentino grapes grown in this region. The winemaking process involves a period of low temperature maceration and fermentation in stainless steel to ensure a clean and straightforward profile. The result is a fresh and mineral-driven style, with fruity and floral aromas and a well-defined, lingering finish.

Where it comes from

Vermentino Prestige di Uggiano originates from the Tuscan hills. This origin is a fundamental part of the wine's identity, supporting its flavor profile that offers freshness and minerality, perfectly in line with its declared style. The connection with the land is expressed through the exclusive use of Vermentino and a winemaking approach that preserves aromatic clarity.

How it is produced

The wine is made exclusively from Vermentino grapes. After harvesting, the grapes undergo a period of maceration at controlled low temperatures for 12–15 hours, followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place using only the free-run must, at 18–22 °C, and maturation continues in stainless steel until bottling, following a technical path that offers precision and clarity of fruit.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows a straw yellow color with greenish highlights. On the nose, you find aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit, floral notes of jasmine and peach blossom, all in a clean and recognizable profile. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, smooth, and clearly defined, with a pleasant lingering finish.

Food pairings

It naturally pairs with seafood starters and grilled fish. It is particularly recommended with shellfish and crustaceans, where the mineral component enhances the flavor without overpowering, and the lasting finish beautifully complements the dish.

When to serve it

This is a white wine to choose when you want a precise, fresh, and approachable profile, perfect for lunches and dinners centered on fish. The stainless steel maturation and fruity, floral aromatics make it ideal for immediate enjoyment, from seafood appetizers through to grilled main courses and shellfish dishes.
