Description

What kind of wine is it

The Chardonnay produced by Bonconsey is a white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The process involves temperature-controlled fermentation followed by maturation in stainless steel containers, practices designed to enhance the varietal profile of the grape. The final result combines a balanced structure with a full and harmonious style, offering a clear gustatory persistence that accurately reflects its place of origin.

Where it comes from

The grapes destined for this white wine come from small hillside plots in Trentino, located up to five hundred meters above sea level. This altitude is essential to maintain a fresh development of the grapes as it allows for regular ripening throughout the plant's lifecycle. Being part of the Trevenezie appellation marks its geographical origin in northeastern Italy while maintaining a strong connection with local mountain characteristics.

How it is produced

The clusters are picked and transported in small crates to preserve their integrity until they arrive at the cellar. The grapes are destemmed without crushing and rest in pneumatic presses for a few hours of cold maceration before being pressed. The resulting must settles naturally and is fermented at 15 to 17 degrees Celsius with the addition of selected yeasts. The cycle ends with aging in steel on the noble lees for a few months, which defines the aromatic precision of the wine.

Tasting notes

On the eye, it shows a bright and consistent straw yellow hue. The nose is clean and opens with well-defined aromas of banana and ripe apple, with delicate hints of honey highlighting its clear varietal identity. On the palate, it delivers a harmonious sip characterized by a full body and pleasant persistence, sustaining the progression. The balance between tactile consistency and aromatic intensity ensures a smooth and easy-drinking experience.

Pairings

The versatility of this white makes it suitable for accompanying classic Mediterranean cuisine, as it enhances simple preparations such as pasta and fresh vegetables. It is particularly well-suited to white meats and soups, thanks to a harmony that supports flavors without overpowering them. Its balance and delicate fruity notes always provide successful pairings, making it appropriate and adaptable for many moments of the meal.

When to serve it

To make the most of its aromatic development and smoothness, it is recommended to serve the wine at a cool temperature to enhance its qualities without compromising its softness on the palate. It is a fitting choice for everyday lunches and dinners, or when you want a wine with immediate technical appeal perfect for accompanying lighter dishes. The clarity derived from its maturation keeps it pleasant and tidy even some time after opening, ensuring a linear tasting focused on untouched fruity sensations.
