Description

What kind of wine it is

This Trento Brut Rosé from Conti d'Arco is a sparkling wine made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown in the northern valleys around Trento. Made using the Traditional Method, it undergoes a slow bottle refermentation that enhances its complexity. Ageing on the lees for at least 24 months shapes a fresh flavour profile, complemented by a Brut dosage that defines its harmony and ensures a lively, dynamic sip.

Where it comes from

The vineyards stretch across the hills north of Trento, an environment that guarantees optimal diurnal temperature swings for ripening. Here, the volcanic soils, rich in basaltic and porphyritic rocks with a schistose matrix, impart a pronounced minerality. This distinctive soil character shows in the glass and offers a crisp freshness and palpable tension that speak to the strong bond between the vines and the mountain terroir.

How it is made

The production process begins with hand harvesting of the bunches, preserving their integrity up to the winery. Gentle pressing extracts the purest must to create an elegant base wine. The Traditional Method is completed with refermentation in the bottle and ageing on the lees for at least two years. Finally, disgorgement and the addition of the liqueur d’expedition complete the work and set the dry character of the cuvée.

Tasting notes

In the glass it reveals a delicate pink hue, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage that brightens the appearance. On the nose it offers a fragrant bouquet, where the aromatic expression recalls hints of small red fruits and remains well focused. On the palate it flows smoothly, supported by a vibrant acidic backbone that gives pace to the tasting. The whole culminates in a harmonious, dry finish that prolongs the freshness.

Food pairings

Ideal as an aperitif, it has the structure and acidity to accompany an entire meal. Its regional soul makes it the perfect partner for local dishes such as a tortel di patate con Speck or fillets of Salmerino del Trentino. The dry dosage and savoury texture enhance canederli with speck and lake-fish preparations, ensuring impeccable palate cleansing with every sip.

When to serve it

This label is perfect for an autumn or winter dinner with friends, a rich, convivial Sunday lunch or a toast outdoors during the warmer months. Serve at 6–8°C; it is ideal as an aperitif, during informal gatherings, or to accompany moments of genuine, light-hearted sharing.
