Description

What kind of wine is it

The Trento Brut Riserva by Conti d'Arco is an alluring wine made from Chardonnay grapes from the Trentino hills. Production follows the Traditional Method, with the secondary fermentation in bottle shaping its character. Aging on the lees for at least thirty-six months delivers a full, harmonious profile with a persistent finish. In the glass, one admires a fine, continuous perlage, alongside intense, complex aromas. It is a well-balanced expression, perfect for social get-togethers and special occasions.

Where it comes from

The Chardonnay for this wine grows on the hills of Trentino, an environment that forges its character. The soils show great variability, ranging from basaltic terrains to porphyry and schist matrices. This singular geological nature, rich in volcanic and metamorphic elements, lends the wine a clear stylistic imprint. Altitude and the unique soil composition are the pillars on which the authentic identity of this Traditional Method rests.

How it is made

Vinification follows the principles of the Traditional Method and showcases the origin of the Chardonnay. The second fermentation and the formation of bubbles take place directly in bottle. Afterwards, the wine spends a period on the lees of at least thirty-six months, an essential phase that lends elegance to the mousse and depth to the palate structure. This long rest enriches the aromatic weave and ensures notable persistence. The meticulous refermentation and the aging time are cornerstones of its quality.

Tasting notes

In the glass, the wine displays a fine and persistent perlage, proof of a beautifully integrated mousse. On the nose, the bouquet is complex, refined and intense, with aromatic breadth that faithfully reflects the long lees contact typical of the Traditional Method. On the palate, the entry is dominated by a harmonious, full taste, evolving into a balanced progression that envelops the palate. The finish stands out for its long persistence, confirming a refined style.

Food pairings

Highly versatile, it is an ideal aperitif that beautifully accompanies an entire meal. It pairs perfectly with fish starters and mains, where the harmonious taste elegantly balances flavourful preparations. To honour its roots, try it with local traditional dishes such as oven-baked Alpine char or trout from Trentino. Its lively freshness and layered texture enhance sea and lake cuisine, such as spaghetti with clams or an octopus carpaccio, for a satisfying sip. Also perfect for a rich, convivial Sunday lunch.

When to serve it

It is perfect as an aperitif, at dinner parties, festive lunches or to celebrate special occasions. It also suits informal moments with friends or to accompany an outdoor picnic, thanks to its freshness and versatility. Excellent for an autumn or winter dinner, when you want an elegant wine that pairs stylishly with every course.
