Description
The Valpolicella Classico Superiore Sant'Urbano is a red wine that originates in the heart of Valpolicella, in Veneto. Produced by the company Speri, a historic winemaking reality with deep roots in the territory, this wine represents an authentic interpretation of the local tradition. The vineyards are located on the property of Monte Sant'Urbano, in the municipality of Fumane, at an altitude between 280 and 350 meters above sea level.
Made from Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, it follows a traditional winemaking process. After manual harvesting, the grapes undergo a brief appassimento of about a month before fermentation. The wine ages for 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by an additional six months of bottle aging, giving it structure and elegance.
With an intense ruby red color, this wine stands out for its broad and enveloping bouquet, characterized by aromas of ripe fruit and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is soft and elegant, with a pronounced taste and pleasing persistence. Spicy notes enrich the organoleptic profile, offering a harmonious and refined tasting experience.
Perfectly paired with grilled red meats, roasts, braises, and aged cheeses, it best expresses the character of Valpolicella and the quality of organic viticulture practiced by the company.
