Description

The Valtellina Superiore Il Pettirosso by ArPePe is made exclusively from Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) grapes, cultivated on grass-covered vineyards facing south, at an altitude between 400 and 550 meters. This wine perfectly embodies the viticultural tradition of Valtellina, expressing with finesse and elegance the unique character of the mountainous territory.

The winemaking process includes a long maceration of 101 days in wooden vats, followed by 12 months of aging in large wooden barrels, steel, and subsequently in the bottle. This process allows for a wine of great balance, capable of enhancing the specific characteristics of mountain Nebbiolo through a respectful and natural maturation.

Of bright ruby red color, the bouquet is refined and complex, with notes of small red fruits, rosehip, delicate spices, and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is distinguished by its freshness and harmony, with a fine tannic structure and elegant persistence. The sip is juicy and enveloping, characterized by a perfect balance between structure and drinkability.

It pairs marvelously with flavorful first courses, white meats, and aged cheeses, enhancing their flavors with its refined aromatic expression.
