Description

The Valtellina Superiore Grumello Sassorosso di Nino Negri was born in vineyards located in Valtellina, north of Lake Como in the province of Sondrio, in the Grumello sub-area.

It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested only by hand during the month of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 2 months. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for 24 months before being bottled.

It is characterized by a garnet color. The nose opens with a fine fragrance of scrub rose, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of cloves and cinnamon. On the palate it is dry, pleasantly sapid and elegant. It is a wine of particular finesse, with a good roundness that enhances its characteristics.

Perfect to accompany roasts, it is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
