Description
What kind of wine is it
Vermentino di Gallura Superiore Corsales is a white wine made exclusively from Vermentino grapes selected in the vineyard. This label directly expresses the Gallura character and offers a profile where minerality meets the aromas of the Mediterranean scrub. Vinification in stainless steel preserves aromatic clarity and drive on the palate. On the palate it is dry, fresh and saline, with a persistent finish that confirms a strong sense of place.
Where it comes from
This Vermentino is born in the territory of Gallura, an area renowned for giving wines an interweaving of mineral and floral notes. In the glass, clear scents recalling aromatic herbs emerge, a sign of an origin that imparts great precision of expression. The result is a white in which the marked salinity is the central feature of the tasting experience, accompanied by a freshness that supports overall balance and guarantees a finish of good length.
How it is made
The Vermentino grapes are carefully harvested to begin a vinification aimed at cleanliness and production rigor. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18°C. This technical choice allows precise management of aromatic development so as to enhance the fruit’s natural freshness. The use of steel helps shape a smooth, dynamic drinkability, without any external interference.
Tasting notes
To the eye it shows a deep straw yellow color, lit by lively greenish highlights. On the nose it reveals a complex bouquet characterized by scents of sage, fresh oregano, Greek basil and thyme, interwoven with notes of jasmine, citrus, pear and apple. On the palate it is nimble, with a vibrant freshness well balanced by a pleasant softness. The flavor progression is dynamic and closes on an elegant, fresh-saline finish.
What to pair it with
This white pairs with ease with seafood first courses and shellfish, as it enhances the iodine-tinged taste of the ingredients. It is recommended with baked fish such as dentex and also pairs in balance with sashimi or grilled white meats. To honor Sardinian regional tradition, the perfect pairing is with Fregola con le arselle, a typical dish that fully showcases the wine’s pronounced saline streak and dynamic flavor profile.
When to serve it
Choose this white when you are looking for a lively, refreshing sip, able to combine aromas of aromatic herbs with a pronounced saline component. The recommended serving temperature is 10°C, a condition that allows you to best appreciate the clarity of aromas and the elegance of the finish. At this temperature, the persistence is clearly expressed, making the wine particularly suitable for convivial moments at the table, with seafood dishes or lighter preparations.
