Description

The Veronese Palazzo della Torre di Allegrini was born in vineyards located in the homonymous Podere, on the hills of Fumane di Valpolicella, in the province of Verona. It is one of the wines that has made Allegrini's production famous all over the world.

It is mainly produced with Corvina Veronese grapes and with Rondinella and Sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in two steps, one starting from 10 September for the grapes destined for drying and the other at the beginning of October for grapes destined for immediate vinification. The fermentation takes place separately in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 25-29 ° C and 8-22 ° C respectively, for a duration of 10 and 15 days respectively. After the malolactic fermentation in barriques, the aging of the wine takes place in second passage French oak barrels for 15 months and in bottle for another 7 months.

The Palazzo della Torre di Allegrini has a deep ruby red color. The nose opens with intense aromas of black cherry, carob and figs, enriched with elegant notes of coffee and nutmeg. On the palate it is full-bodied, velvety and harmonious, with a prevalence of ripe and pulpy fruity hints.

Perfect to accompany saffron risotto and porcini mushrooms, it is ideal with typical Italian first courses, such as Amatriciana and Carbonara, grilled meats and roasts.
