Description

The Vigneti delle Dolomiti Terre di San Leonardo of Tenuta San Leonardo was born in the vineyards of Vallagarina, located in the extreme south of Trentino.

It is produced with a careful assembly of the grapes grown in the company vineyards, harvested in perfect ripeness during the months of September and October. The must ferments and macerates on the skins for a long period with repeated daily punching down. Subsequently, most of the wine ages in oak barrels for 18 months and a small part in barrique for 6 months.

It is characterized by a bright ruby red color. The nose has a perfume of good amplitude and moderate persistence, with pleasant aromas of ripe plum and light herbaceous nuances. On the palate it is dry, soft and balanced, with a pleasantly bitter finish. Its good aromatic persistence expresses a great refinement.

Perfect to accompany pasta dishes and stuffed pasta, it is ideal in combination with red meats, white meats and aged cheeses.
