Vinho Verde DOC Muros Antigos Escolha 2022 Anselmo Mendes

The Loureiro is produced by the Portuguese company Anselmo Mendes and belongs to the Muros Antigos line. The wine originates in the Vinho Verde region, located in the Lima River valley, which benefits from the strong climatic influence of the Atlantic.

The wine is made exclusively of Loureiro grapes, harvested manually and immediately taken to the cellar for destemming. Once squeezed, the must undergoes a clarification of 48-72 hours and subsequently a long fermentation at 14-18 ° C. Finally the wine refines on the fine lees for at least 4 months.

Straw yellow in color with greenish hues, the nose expresses itself with floral and citrine aromas, with notes of tropical fruit and aromatic herbs. The sip is crunchy and fresh, characterized by a persistent finish with herbaceous notes.

It goes very well with fried fish and vegetables and with dishes richly flavored with aromatic herbs such as sage, rosemary, thyme or oregano.
