Description

What type of wine it is

SoloWine by Salcheto is a red table wine mainly obtained from red grapes with the addition of white grapes. It matures for 12 months between steel and wood, offering both freshness and structure without weighing down its profile. The result is a soft, fruity and savoury red, with good intensity and a balanced finish, designed for easy drinking.

Where it comes from

The choice to present itself as a table wine puts focus on its content and drinkability, without being tied to appellations. The Bag-in-Box 3 litre format combines practicality and sustainability, thanks to FSC-certified materials and water-based inks free of solvents.

How it is produced

The grapes, mainly red grapes with a portion of white grapes, are vinified to achieve a fresh and structured profile. The ageing lasts 12 months, with 70% of the wine in steel and 30% in wood, to balance aromatic clarity and support on the palate. After ageing, it is recommended to wait a year before consumption to bring out the full expression of its organoleptic characteristics.

Tasting notes

It displays good colour intensity and a brilliant hue. On the nose, you perceive fresh and fruity aromas, with subtle floral hints and undertones of sweet spices. On the palate, it is soft and pleasantly savoury, with good structure and a balanced finish that invites another sip.

Food pairings

It pairs well with Tuscan cured meats and medium-aged cheeses, enhancing its savoury component and smooth texture. Generally, it accompanies simple and convivial dishes, when looking for a balanced and approachable red that supports the meal without overpowering flavours.

When to serve it

It is suitable for everyday drinking and informal occasions where a balanced, smooth and easy-going red is desired. To respect the approach of the producer, it is preferable to wait for the suggested maturation year after ageing, to achieve a more harmonious profile. Once ready, the practical 3 litre Bag-in-Box allows you to share it over time for convenient and continuous enjoyment.
