Description
What kind of wine is it?
Metodo Classico Extra Brut Cuvée 1898 by Sartori is a sparkling wine made from Durello grapes grown in the Monti Lessini area, between Verona and Vicenza. The Extra Brut dosage and the bottle refermentation according to the Metodo Classico define a dry, fresh and precise style, with an elegant structure and a clean, harmonious finish.
Where does it come from?
This wine is made from hillside vineyards located in the Monti Lessini between the provinces of Verona and Vicenza. The Veronese pergola training system and basaltic soils contribute to a clear mineral imprint and an aromatic complexity linked to the terroir.
How is it produced?
The grapes are gently pressed and the must ferments in stainless steel vats under temperature control to preserve the grape’s aromatic profile. The wine is then sent to bottle refermentation following the Metodo Classico, resulting in a fine perlage, creamy froth, and a balanced flavor texture.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it shows a bright straw yellow color, fine and steady bubbles, and creamy froth. The nose is clean, with hints of toasted bread and citrus references, on a mineral background that recalls its origin. On the palate, it is fresh and tense, with a long, clean finish and harmonious persistence.
Pairing suggestions
Perfect as an aperitif when freshness and precision are desired. At the table, it pairs well with delicate fish dishes where the mineral component supports without overpowering the flavors. It can also be served with cream desserts, thanks to the dry profile typical of Extra Brut.
When to serve it
It is ideal for convivial occasions and as a meal opener, when the finesse of the perlage and the freshness of the sip stand out clearly. It can accompany a light meal, maintaining a dry sensation and a clean and linear finish, true to the Extra Brut style.
