In 1857 Bertani was already vision and initiative. A story of successes that gains the mid-twentieth century crowning a dream of perfection with the production of Amarone. With more than 200 hectares of vineyards, Bertani still continues today in producing unique wines: all depends on the excellence of terroir and on a production oriented towards quality and respect for traditions.
One of the best wines of Bertani is undoubtely the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico (98 pt JS), the result of a patient ageing up to 7 years which gives back an elegant wine with notes of red fruits like cherry and able to anticipate tertiary aromas like licorice and tobacco. With an effective balance between tannins and acidity, it is a long-lived and vibrant wine, full of details. The Valpolicella Ripasso is refined nine months after the contact with the Amarone skins, a soft and balanced wine that offers a seductive mellowness of red and black fruits before enveloping the palate with sweet chocolate and light nuances of dried fruit.
