An ancient spring of crystal-clear water once flowed through the places where the vineyards of Cantina Fontezoppa now stand, from which the renowned Marche winery takes its name. Nestled in the truly enchanting village of Civitanova Alta, in a landscape tucked like a precious jewel between the Adriatic and the Monti Azzurri, the winery lives in symbiosis with nature, safeguarding its treasures: spread across 35 hectares of land, Fontezoppa devotes meticulous care to native varieties—first and foremost Vernaccia Nera—and to international ones such as Merlot and Cabernet. From the rows to the cellar, the grapes are treated like little jewels, which hold the inestimable legacy of time and which represent, first on the labels and then in the glass, the winery’s incredible creativity. From the lively Pepato, a pure Vernaccia Nera with notes of wild cherries and plums, to Jajà, a wine made from 100% Passerina that loves to accompany seafood dishes, such as a classic mixed fish fry. With Jocò, the winery’s stylistic signature reaches its pinnacle: a wine with a distinctly mineral character, ideal for those who love bold, characterful wines.
