An ancient spring of crystal-clear water once flowed where the vineyards of Cantina Fontezoppa now stand, from which the renowned Marche winery takes its name. Set in the truly enchanting village of Civitanova Alta, in a landscape nestled like a jewel box between the Adriatic and the Monti Azzurri, the winery lives in harmony with nature, whose treasures it safeguards: spread across 35 hectares of land, Fontezoppa devotes meticulous care to native varieties—foremost among them Vernaccia Nera—as well as to international grapes such as Merlot and Cabernet. From the rows to the cellar, the grapes are treated like little jewels, bearing the priceless legacy of time and expressing—first on the labels and then in the glass—the company’s incredible creativity. From the lively Pepato, a single-varietal Vernaccia Nera with fruit-driven notes of wild cherries and plums, to Jajà, a wine made from 100% Passerina that loves to accompany fish dishes, such as a mixed fried fish. With Jocò, the winery’s stylistic signature reaches its ultimate expression: a wine with a distinctly mineral palate, ideal for those who love bold, characterful wines.
