Geografico is a cooperative winery founded in 1961 by the passion of 17 wine growers who joined together with the aim of promoting the economic and social development of agriculture. That same year saw the birth of the first label; today Geografico gathers more than 60 members who, with skill, dedication and spirit of sacrifice, have contributed to relaunching the image of Chianti Classico throughout the world..
Under the aegis of renowned oenologist Riccardo Cotarella, native wines with modern and innovative appeal are produced, an appeal expressed in all its splendour in the Chianti Classico DOCG Contessa di Radda (90 pts. Maroni). With its enveloping, intense bouquet of violets, it is dry and balanced on the palate, slightly tannic, while in its Riserva (93 pts. Maroni) version, it releases an intense, vinous aroma, with hints of ripe red fruit and spices. Two wines that give their best with main courses of red meat and mature cheeses
