Viña Haras de Pirque is a project born in 2001 as an Italo-Chilean joint-venture with the aim of exploring the winemaking potential of the Valle del Maipo region by Marchesi Antinori , which since 2017 has acquired full ownership of the estate.
The characteristic horseshoe-shaped cellar is located in Pirque, in the northern part of the Maipo Valley , an area renowned for viticulture, as well as for the breeding of young thoroughbred horses, from which the image of the estate. The Gran Reserva Hussonet (90 pt James Suckling) is born here , an elegant and territorial Cabernet Sauvignon , which takes its name from one of the most successful horses of the stables. From the areas of Casablanca and Leyda , which benefit from the influence of the Pacific Ocean , the whites produced by Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay originate instead.
