Poggio al Tesoro is an endeavour of the Allegrini family. There, they've realized their dream of creating mature captivating wines against the backdrop of Bolgheri. What's involved are approximately 70ha that maintain and bring together optimal conditions for creating wines with a strong identity, complexity and elegance. This is all part of Walter Allegrini's forward-looking and innovative vision of transforming a diverse landscape into the ideal one for producing successful wines.

The careful study of climatic conditions and the soil has made it possible to achieve acclaimed wines of great intensity, such as Vermentino Solosole, with its distinctive notes of yellow fruits, such as peach and apricot, medium-body and great cordiality. Then, there's the Il Seggio series of reds. These are well-crafted blends of traditional Bolgheri grapes, offering fresh wines with velvety elegant tannins. Sondraia (95 pt Decanter)'s mission is to interpret 'Bolgheri style' through a combination of black fruits and herbaceous spicy tones that give off intensity and pleasantness, together with a well-balanced and harmonious taste in the mouth. With the award-winning Dedicated to Walter (96 pt RP) wine, you get a quintessential Cabernet Franc. It's an imposing masterpiece of great finesse, with alternating full notes and a slender spiciness that bespeaks strength and grit as well as elegance and persistence.
