The Maison Godart & Fils was created in 1948 by Paul and his two younger brothers André and Jean. After spending 23 years working in the cellar of Moët et Chandon, it was Paul who started winemaking in the family business, now run by his son François in collaboration with oenologist Laurie Marteau.
The winery is RM (Récoltant manipulant) and Vigneron Indépendant, acronyms that we also find on the label, i.e. it is the winegrower who produces and markets Champagne under his own label, starting with grapes coming exclusively from his own vineyards and processed in his own cellars.
These are cornerstones of the company, which wants to leave its entire imprint on the Champagnes it produces. The vineyards extend over 6.3 hectares in the crus of Moussy, Pierry, Chavot, Vinay and Bergères les Vertus. All this allows Godart's wines to develop a character of elegance, freshness and liveliness.
Examples of this are the Champagne Brut 1er Cru Le Moymer with its fine and persistent perlage and its citrus and slightly herbaceous notes, or the Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs Aladiah with its hints of berries, blackberry, strawberry and blackcurrant and its delicate spicy notes.
Discover them all! Today and while stocks last, for every 4 bottles of Champagne Godart & Fils purchased, you will receive a complimentary ice bucket.
