That is not to say that great things are done by a series of small things brought together. If we think of gnomes, we immediately realise that their minute appearance conceals great knowledge unknown to us. So in 1975 Josetta Saffirio's adventure began in the Monforte d'Alba area, amidst tales of gnomes and dreams that were not easy to realise. A vigorous woman who was determined to pursue her father's teachings to obtain the Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso in 1989 with her famous Barolo. There are many of her wine stories, starting with the Barbera d'Alba Superiore, certainly the most agile, with a very clean nose and bright hints of blackcurrants that complement a nice body. Also a fine example of olfactory elegance is the Langhe Nebbiolo, in which the detailed and recognisable fragrance of raspberry is followed by soft tannins that well harmonise the balance of taste on the palate. A true excellence is the Barolo, with a full and incisive bouquet, with forest floor notes which alternate with vanilla, hazelnut and tobacco, for a perfect integration of woody scents and fresh fruit. An exemplary commitment that owes much to stories and enterprise, which continues to preserve small tales before transforming them into great masterpieces to enjoy.

Barolo di Monforte d'Alba, from the Castelletto sub-area, produced by Josetta Saffirio, is a mirror wine of three types of soil, silt, sand and clay in balanced proportions, enriched by a good presence of mineral salts.
