Legend has it that at this agricultural estate, located in San Benedetto di Lugana, in the 1500s, eight twins were born: hence the emblem that adorns the bottles of Ottella, which also recalls in its name the unusual event. The real story, however, tells of a winery already mentioned in the 19th century as the only Veronese producer of Lugana and today an established entity in the Lake Garda area, having already won some of the most important national and international critics' awards. The flagship wine of the company is the Lugana Riserva "Molceo" (awarded nine consecutive times with the Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso): the result of a late harvest, it expresses all the long-aging potential of Trebbiano di Lugana, with its captivating fruit aromas that give way, with evolution, to hints of hydrocarbons. In contrast, the Lugana and Lugana "Le Creete" are characterized by freshness and minerality, accompanied by citrus and exotic fruit notes.
