Tenuta Sette Ponti is a historic winery named after the seven bridges over the Arno River, scattered between the two main Tuscan cities. The most famous of these, the Buriano bridge, appears in the renowned portraits of the Mona Lisa and the Madonna of the Yarnwinder. The estate has belonged to the Moretti Cuseri family since the 1950s, when the architect Alberto Moretti Cuseri purchased the first 60 hectares directly from Princesses Margherita and Maria Cristina of Savoy-Aosta. Thanks to Antonio Moretti Cuseri, Alberto’s son, Tenuta Setteponti is what it is today: 300 hectares, 54 of which are vineyards, dotting a breathtaking landscape in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Arezzo. Here, outstanding wines are born—some of the most prestigious and awarded labels in the world. Among these is Oreno, winner of the Tre Bicchieri award: an exquisite blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, this Bordeaux-style wine comes from south-facing vineyards up to 75 years old, located in the area with the same name as the estate, through which the river Oreno flows. From Castiglion Fibocchi comes Toscana Rosso Crognolo, made from pure Sangiovese grapes: ruby red in color, it offers an intense fruity aroma on the nose, accompanied by delicate spicy notes.
