Located in San Vincenzo a Torri, in the Chianti sub-zone of the Colli Fiorentini, with vineyards stretching between Montespertoli and San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Uggiano is the result of the passion for Tuscan wines of a group of entrepreneurs from Bergamo, who have taken up the impetus of oenologist Giuseppe Losapio, trained in France, in their production methods. Picking up Giuseppe Losapio's professional legacy are three historical collaborators who have chosen to hold high the banner of Uggiano's tradition: a selected, young and motivated team that has decided to make people one of the company's strong points.
The wines are those with a Tuscan flavour, in the most traditional sense of the term, rich in extracts and fragrances that cannot be found elsewhere, whose long ageing in French oak barrels and barriques allows them to best express their uniqueness and the care reserved by a select team for each individual label.
Among the bottles that deserve special mention are undoubtedly the Syrà (93 pt Maroni) with its decisive, fruit-laden touch and the Chianti Riserva, a universal and recognisable wine with hints of red fruits and great roundness, with pleasant tannins and perfect for winter dishes. Also worth trying is the Vermentino Prestige (91 pt Maroni), with a very pleasant structure and very suitable for fish and white meat.
